WSB University and Uzhhorod National University Develop International Cooperation

International academic cooperation is one of the key directions of development at WSB University. The University consistently builds relationships with international partners that make it possible to combine the scientific, educational, and organisational potential of various academic communities, while at the same time creating new development opportunities for students, academic staff, and the entire University community.

On 19 May, a meeting between representatives of WSB University and a delegation from Uzhhorod National University took place at WSB University. During the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, constituting an important step towards strengthening academic relations between the two institutions. UzhNU was represented by Rector Prof. Volodymyr Smolanka and Vice-Rector for Science Ivan Myronyuk. On behalf of WSB University, the memorandum was signed by Dr Rafał Rębilas, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss common areas of interest, potential project initiatives, and possibilities for developing cooperation in the educational, scientific, and organisational dimensions. The signed memorandum provides for the development of cooperation in many areas, including the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects, the exchange of academic experience, conducting research activities, organising joint events, seminars, and conferences, as well as developing the mobility of students and staff within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. Cooperation with Uzhhorod National University forms part of the strategic activities undertaken by WSB University to support internationalisation, strengthen the quality of education, and build long-term partnerships with foreign universities.

This partnership opens new perspectives for students, who will be able to benefit from international educational experiences, as well as for academic staff, who gain opportunities for the exchange of good practices, conducting joint research, and developing projects of international significance.

The signing of the memorandum constitutes an important stage in building long-term relations between WSB University and UzhNU. Both universities expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation and undertake initiatives that will contribute to strengthening the international dimension of education, science, and academic collaboration.
