The directions of higher education development are no longer determined solely by study programs, but by the ability to respond to technological breakthroughs. In this context, WSB University was represented during a nationwide meeting devoted to the role of artificial intelligence in science and education by Professor Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and External Relations, and Dr Sabina Ratajczak, Vice-Rector for the Development of WSB University.
The event “Google for Education. Higher Education Summit 2026. New reality – new opportunities”, which took place in Warsaw, brought together representatives of university authorities, the academic community, and technology experts from across Poland. Its aim was not only to present innovative solutions, but above all to initiate a real discussion on how technologies – including artificial intelligence – are transforming the way teaching, research, and university management are conducted.
The program of the event included, among others, expert panels dedicated to the use of technology in teaching, administration, as well as research and student activities, along with a space for exchanging experiences between representatives of universities and the technology sector. Particular emphasis was placed on the practical applications of AI-based solutions and on building policies for their implementation in higher education.
At the same time, as emphasized during the meeting, artificial intelligence is becoming one of the key factors in the transformation of science and education – influencing both the educational process and the development of research, as well as cooperation between universities and the socio-economic environment. It is precisely in this area that the need to combine academic competences with the experience of the technology and business sectors is becoming increasingly evident.
