WSB University Leaders on the Board of the Katowice Branch of the Polish Economic Society
On 16 September 2026, the Katowice Branch of the Polish Economic Society held its reporting and electoral assembly, during which the Branch’s new governing bodies were elected.
The following members of WSB University’s leadership were re-elected to the Board of the Society’s Katowice Branch:
- Professor Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz, Rector of WSB University;
- Professor Katarzyna Szczepańska-Woszczyna, Vice-Rector for Research and Education at WSB University;
- Professor Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation with the Community at WSB University.
During the assembly, Professor Marcin Lis was also awarded the Gold Badge of Honour of the Polish Economic Society, conferred by a resolution of the Society’s National Board.
We warmly congratulate the newly elected leaders of the Branch and wish them success and many fruitful initiatives supporting the development of research and the economy, as well as cooperation between the academic community and its social and economic partners.
