WSB University will implement a project aimed at developing a coherent, systemic, and scalable model supporting the identification and development of gifted students in the STEM field.
The agreement on behalf of the University was signed by the Rector of WSB University - Prof. Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz.
The meeting was attended by: Rafał Adamczyk - Member of the Board of the Silesian Voivodeship, Anna Kwaśniewska - Director of the Department of Education of the Marshal Office of the Silesian Voivodeship, Anna Bielaś - Director of ROM-E Metis, and Mariola Strużek-Dembowicz - Deputy Director for Administrative and Economic Affairs.

Also present were members of the Regional Development Center of WSB University (Prof. Marcin Lis - Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation with the Environment, Dr. Mariusz Raczek, and Dr. Krzysztof Wrana), which will implement the project in cooperation with Metis - a local government-run, accredited teacher training institution.
The developed model will make it possible to integrate the activities of various institutions involved in the development of students, organize the available forms of support, and create a transparent and accessible student development pathway - from diagnosing potential, through competency development, to advanced forms of education and career planning.
An important element of the project will also be strengthening the region’s potential through the identification, development, and retention of talents within the Silesian Voivodeship.
