WSB University Student Named Best International Student in Poland

Munisa Ziyomukhamedova, a student at WSB University, has received a distinction in the Interstudent 2026 competition, earning the title of Best International Student in Poland in the master’s degree category. The award recognizes her academic achievements as well as her extensive social and international engagement.

Munisa comes from Uzbekistan and is currently studying Financial Management and Accounting. She has been living and studying in Poland since 2021, during which time she has actively participated in numerous academic and community initiatives both within the university and beyond. 
 
Academic and International Engagement

During her studies, Munisa has been strongly involved in supporting the international student community. She served as a mentor in the Buddy Mentoring Programme at WSB University and participated in initiatives linked to the Erasmus+ programme, helping newly arrived international students adapt to academic life and social integration in Poland.  
She has also taken part in international educational initiatives, including a Blended Intensive Programme at Fachhochschule Südwestfalen in Germany, where she developed skills related to working in multicultural teams. In another international programme held in Lithuania, she delivered a presentation on the role of visual and interactive media in communication.  
 
Social Engagement and Leadership

Munisa’s activities extend beyond academic life. She volunteered during the Katowice World Cup international sporting event, supporting logistical and organizational activities. 
She also participated in the mentoring programme of the Bona Fides organization, where she developed leadership and social competencies. As a member of the university’s PolicyLab, she contributed to initiatives aimed at promoting social development and sustainability.  
Her involvement in the university community includes serving twice as an Ambassador of WSB University, representing the institution and the Polish higher education sector in international promotional activities, including events held in Tashkent. She has also supported initiatives promoting the role of women in society, including efforts to increase women’s participation in the technology sector in cooperation with the company Knauf.  
 
Awards and Recognition

Munisa is also a laureate of the G4C WARS- The Sustainability Game Rebellion business simulation, where she was recognized for her abilities in strategic thinking and sustainable development. 
For her contribution to the international academic community, she has twice received awards from Prof. Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz, Rector of WSB University.
