WSB University Students and Experts at Behavioural Analysis 2026

The Behavioural Analysis 2026 International Scientific Conference took place on 16 -18 September 2026. WSB University and the “Save the World” International Student Research Group for Security Studies were strategic partners of the event.

Wiktoria Kolano from the Department of Security Studies, academic adviser to the “Save the World” International Student Research Group for Security Studies, was actively involved in organising the conference, together with WSB University students from Dąbrowa Górnicza, the Branch Campus in Cieszyn and the Branch Campus in Kraków.

The students were responsible for registration and the conference office, facilitating question-and-answer sessions, preparing reports on the speakers’ presentations, and carrying out organisational and technical tasks during the event.

Dr Grzegorz Matuszek, Vice-Dean for Education, also attended the conference as a member of the audience.

The conference brought together experts from around the world working in fields including behavioural analysis, counterterrorism and counter-radicalisation, criminology, public security, threat assessment, crisis management and combating human trafficking.

The speakers included Dr Anne Speckhard, founder of the International Center for the Study of Violent Extremism and one of the most experienced researchers in the psychology of terrorism and radicalisation; Dame Penny Mordaunt DBE PC, former UK Secretary of State for Defence, Minister of State for the Armed Forces and member of the UK National Security Council; Figen Murray OBE, who initiated efforts to introduce Martyn’s Law and is an expert in the security of public places; and Professor David Keatley of Murdoch University, who specialises in behavioural criminology and the analysis of sequences of criminal behaviour.
