A New Chapter in Education at Collegium Medicum: Master’s Studies for Paramedics at WSBU

At WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, a new second-cycle (master’s) program in Paramedic Science has just launched. This expansion of our educational offer meets the growing demand for highly skilled healthcare professionals and opens new professional and scientific opportunities for paramedics.

“We want our graduates to be not only effective practitioners but also capable researchers, innovators, and active contributors to the development of the paramedic system” emphasizes Dr. Hab. Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz, Prof. WSBU, Rector of WSB University. “Our modern infrastructure, qualified staff, and experience in medical education provide a solid foundation for this new program”.

Dr. Adam Kabiesz, Dean of Collegium Medicum, adds: “This offer targets both graduates of first-cycle studies and experienced paramedics seeking to deepen their skills and advance in this vital and forward-looking field. The curriculum combines the latest scientific knowledge with intensive practical training”.

This program prepares students for effective teamwork in rescue units, leadership roles, teaching, and research positions. It emphasizes the development of clinical, interpersonal, and organizational competencies, as well as readiness to work in multicultural and crisis environments.

By introducing this master’s program, WSB University strengthens its position as a leader in medical education in Poland and responds to the real needs of the healthcare system and labor market.
