The aim of the specialisation is to prepare you to understand and analyse contemporary global economic processes and their links with international politics.

During your studies:

• you will learn the mechanisms of the global economy and the interdependence between politics and economics,
• you will analyse international trade, capital flows, and exchange rates,
• you will understand global financial markets and mechanisms of economic crises,
• you will learn the role of international institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in shaping the global economy,
• you will analyse states’ trade policies and barriers to international trade,
• you will understand the functioning of multinational corporations and their global strategies,
• you will explore the importance of energy and resource policies in the global economy,
• you will learn to assess economic risk and forecast economic trends.

Knowledge:

• You will gain structured knowledge of the global economy, international economic relations, and the links between politics and economics at the global level.
