From Deepfakes to First Aid
Science is not just for lecture halls—it's for the people! As part of the 22nd Science Festival, WSB University took over the public spaces of Katowice to show that knowledge can be accessible, modern, and highly engaging.
Science in the City (Silesia City Center)
Our experts met with the public in one of Katowice’s busiest hubs to discuss challenges that affect us all:
- The Digital Frontier: Dr. Karol Jędrasiak explained the phenomenon of deepfakes and how to spot the line between fiction and reality.
- Law & Pop Culture: Attorney Jarosław Gwizdak brought law to life by discussing how it functions in games, TV series, and music.
- The "YOLO" Culture: Dr. Krzysztof Justyński analyzed the real-life consequences of impulsive decision-making among today’s youth.
Hands-on at the Campus
Meanwhile, at the WSB University Katowice headquarters, participants dived into practical workshops:
- Design Thinking: Creative problem-solving for the future of education.
- Lifesaving Skills: Practical, high-energy First Aid training sessions.
