Applying to the International Doctoral Academy is simple. Here's how it works – in just 6 steps:

  1. Prepare Your Documents
Collect all required documents in digital format (e.g., diplomas, passport). You’ll find the full list in the next section.
  2. Complete the Online Application
Fill out the application form on our website. Select the Doctoral (PhD) Seminar in English and provide your personal and academic details.
  3. Upload Documents & Pay the Fee
Upload your documents and pay the non-refundable application fee (€250). Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer.
  4. Online Interview
If your application meets our criteria, you'll be invited to a short video interview. We’ll discuss your background, research interests, and motivation.
  5. Get Your Admission Decision
After the interview, you’ll receive an email with your result. If accepted, we’ll send you an official acceptance letter and study agreement.
  6. Complete Enrollment
Sign the study agreement, pay your first tuition installment, and receive documents needed for a visa (if applicable). You're ready to start your PhD!

Need help? Our admissions team is here to support you every step of the way.

To apply, please prepare clear digital scans of the following:

  1. Application Forms
Download and fill out the Candidate Information Form and Application Form (available on our website).
  2. Master’s Diploma
A copy of your Master’s degree (or equivalent). If not in English or Polish, include a certified translation.
  3. Name Change Document (if applicable)
If your diploma is under a different name, include proof of the change (e.g. marriage certificate).
  4. Passport Copy
A scan of the personal data page of your international passport (national ID cards are not accepted).
  5. Research Proposal
A short description (1–3 pages) of your proposed PhD topic – just a general idea to show your interests.
  6. Proof of English
If English isn’t your native language, provide a certificate (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL) if available. Otherwise, your level will be assessed during the interview.
  7. Payment Confirmation
Upload proof that you paid the non-refundable application fee (e.g. receipt or screenshot).

Tip: Make sure all scans are clear. If your diploma needs legalization or an apostille for use in Poland, arrange that early. If you're unsure about any document, contact our admissions team – we're happy to help.
