Study Visit in Italy

University Representatives Join Study Visit in Italy – REBUILD Project

From September 9–11, 2025, university representatives Małgorzata Kasjaniuk and Lubomira Trojan together with partners from Italy, Austria, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine participated in an international study visit in Italy as part of the REBUILD – Capacity Building Program for Sustainable Reconstruction.

Both representatives have been actively involved in the project since its launch in January 2025, contributing to its development and implementation from the very beginning.

The study visit, organized within the framework of Work Package 3 (WP3), took place in Bologna, Ravenna, Spoleto, and Preci, where participants explored post-disaster reconstruction sites, sustainable building projects, and restoration efforts of historical structures affected by earthquakes. The REBUILD program supports vocational education and training (VET) in the construction sector, particularly in countries impacted by natural disasters or armed conflict.

This visit marked the first of three planned international exchanges. Two more study visits are scheduled for the coming months:

  • March 2026 – Moldova
  • June 2026 – Georgia

These visits aim to further strengthen international cooperation, share best practices, and support the development of resilient infrastructure through education and capacity building.
