Work Package 2 focused on understanding the context and challenges of disaster reconstruction in the target countries (Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia).

The main objectives of this phase were:

• Identifying and analysing the main catastrophic events that have affected the target regions in the past and are likely to recur, taking into account climatic, geographical, and socio-political factors.
• Examining the most relevant reconstruction techniques used in practice, including their effectiveness, sustainability, and alignment with European standards.
• Reviewing the current state of vocational training in the target countries to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
• Analysing regulatory frameworks and comparing them with EU norms to support future training content.
• Carrying out communication and dissemination activities to share findings with stakeholders and the wider public.

Key outputs from WP2 include:

• D2.1: Report on virtual study visits in the three target countries, with agendas, key findings, and visual documentation.
• D2.2: Report on the state of the art in beneficiary countries, including surveys and SWOT analyses.
• D2.3: Communication and dissemination report, detailing outreach activities and promotional materials in multiple languages.

Work Package 3 focused on developing practical training packages for VET trainers, based on the needs identified in WP2.

The training covers four main areas:

• EU regulations & norms – overview of European legislation relevant to reconstruction.
• Economic dimension / EU funding opportunities – guidance on how to access EU calls and tenders.
• Re-building techniques – standard practices and innovative approaches for post-disaster reconstruction.
• Digitisation in construction – use of digital tools and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to improve efficiency and project outcomes.

All training materials are hosted on a Moodle platform, freely accessible to trainers, where they can study lessons, watch videos, and complete self-assessment tests at their own pace.

A study visit to Bologna and Perugia allowed participants to observe good practices in disaster reconstruction, attend lectures, and gain practical insights to be incorporated into the training packages.

Key outputs from WP3 include:

• D3.1: Report on the study visit in Bologna.
• D3.2: Training packages with lessons, videos, and exercises.
• D3.3: Moodle platform hosting all training materials.
• D3.4: Communication and dissemination report related to WP3.

Each deliverable is available for download in an open and accessible format
