WSBMUN 2027

WSBMUN 2027 – Model United Nations Comes to WSB University

Diplomacy, debate, leadership and international cooperation – WSBMUN 2027 will give students the opportunity to step into the world of global negotiations and address some of today’s most important international challenges.

WSB University is launching preparations for WSBMUN 2027 – the first Model United Nations conference to be hosted at our University.

Model United Nations (MUN) is an internationally recognised academic simulation in which students take on the roles of representatives of different countries. Participants debate global challenges, negotiate positions and work together to develop solutions to issues related to peace, human rights, international law, economics and other areas of global importance.

What is Model United Nations?
During a MUN conference, participants represent selected countries and work within committees inspired by international organisations. Their task is to analyse global issues, present national positions, negotiate with other delegates and develop joint resolutions.

MUN provides a practical environment for developing key skills such as public speaking, argumentation, negotiation, teamwork, leadership, intercultural communication and international networking. The concept of WSBMUN is built around three key ideas: Diplomacy • Debate • Global Impact.

WSBMUN 2027 – a new international student initiative
WSBMUN 2027 is designed not only as an international conference, but also as an opportunity for students to build a new academic initiative from the ground up and help establish a new tradition at WSB University.

One of the first stages of the project will be the creation of the WSBMUN Directive Board – the student leadership team responsible for the academic, organisational, promotional, logistical and financial preparation of the conference.

The planned Directive Board includes the following positions:

  • Deputy Secretary-General
  • Director General
  • President of the General Assembly
  • USG for Academics & Committees
  • USG for Delegate Services & Staff
  • USG for PR, Media & Marketing
  • USG for Logistics & Operations
  • USG for Finance & Sponsorships

Why join WSBMUN?
Becoming involved in WSBMUN 2027 offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in organising an international-format academic conference.

Members of the organising team will be able to develop practical competencies in project management, diplomatic protocol, communication, marketing, event organisation, budgeting, teamwork and leadership. They will also have the opportunity to build an international network and contribute to an initiative that can become a lasting part of student life at WSB University.
