Required documents

Providing complete, accurate, and clearly legible documents is essential for your application to move forward to the next stage. Incomplete profiles or missing documents will prevent our admissions team from conducting the necessary pre-screening and issuing an invitation to the interview.

Please note that not all diplomas carry the same legal status. We strongly encourage you to check the official NAWA qualification database to verify whether your diploma grants access to higher education abroad and under which conditions: Click here

Keep in mind that document requirements vary by country. It is extremely important to review the information provided below, locate your country or region of origin, and follow the instructions to obtain the necessary documents for your application.

Remember!
All stamps from your official documentation and apostilles must be translated by a sworn translator if they are in a language other than English or Polish.
If the name on your documents (e.g., diploma) differs from the one in your passport, you will be required to provide an additional supporting document — such as an affidavit, a certificate issued by your school or university, a marriage certificate, or a similar official confirmation.

Applicants must submit the following documents:
- International Passport - valid for at least 6 months, Internal ID cards are not accepted
- Education Documents - One of the following: – High School Diploma / Atestat (Атестат) / Certificate or diploma from a professional college (for First Cycle / Bachelor’s degree applications) – BA or MA degree (for Second Cycle / Master’s degree applications) All documents must be accompanied by a transcript of records.
- Sworn Translation - If your documents are issued in a language other than Polish or English, they must be translated by a sworn translator. Translations into Polish must be approved by the Polish embassy (an official stamp is sufficient). WSBU recommends Polish translation, as it significantly facilitates the recognition process. - Apostille - Diploma/ certificate issued in the specified region must be apostilled. You can obtain this confirmation from your local government offices. Without apostille, your diploma/ certificate will not be considered for admission. Please note: apostille must also be translated. More information about apostille Click here
- Recognition Decision - All candidates must hold a valid recognition decision for their education documents. This must be issued either by: – a regional Board of Education (Kuratorium Oświaty) in Poland, or – the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) via the SYRENA platform. Without this recognition, your documents will not be accepted. More information about recognition procedure Click here
- Passport-Sized Photo - Must be no older than 3 months and provided in both electronic and printed formats.
- Certificate of validation + official (sworn) translation into English or Polish

Candidates for Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree Programmes must submit the following documents:
- International Passport - Must be valid for at least 6 months. Internal ID cards are not accepted.
- Education Documents - One of the following: – High School Diploma / Certificate or diploma from a professional college (for Bachelor’s degree applications) – BA or MA degree (for Master’s degree applications) All documents must be accompanied by an official transcript of records. Student copies or drafts will not be accepted.
- Sworn Translation - If your documents are issued in a language other than Polish or English, they must be translated by a sworn translator. Translations into Polish must be approved by the Polish embassy (an official stamp is sufficient). - Apostille - Diploma / certificate must be apostilled. Without papostille, your documents will not be considered for admission. All stamps and annotations must also be translated. More information about apostille -> Click here
- Recognition Decision - All candidates must hold a valid recognition decision for their education documents. This must be issued by one of the following: – A regional Board of Education (Kuratorium Oświaty) in Poland – The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) via the SYRENA platform Without this recognition, your documents will not be accepted.
- English Language Certificate - Minimum level: B2 Must be valid for at least 6 months.
- Passport-Sized Photo - Must be no older than 3 months. Must be submitted in both electronic and printed formats.
Special Note for Turkish Candidates - Candidates with diplomas issued in Turkey are required to submit a Europass transcript. Other formats will not be accepted.

- Validation Confirmation - A document issued by the Ministry of Education confirming the validity of your high school or college diploma (required for Bachelor’s degree applicants)
- Sworn Translation - If your documents are issued in a language other than Polish or English, they must be translated by a sworn translator. Translations into Polish must be approved by the Polish embassy (an official stamp is sufficient). WSBU recommends Polish translation, as it significantly facilitates the validation process. - Legalisation / Apostille - Documents must be double or triple legalised, depending on your country of origin. The final legalisation must be completed at the Polish Embassy. Without proper legalisation or apostille, your documents will not be considered for admission. All stamps and annotations must also be translated. Additional Requirements
As determined by the Ministry of Education in Poland, candidates from specified regions must meet a minimum overall grade requirement.
