Girls4Economy Final Conference – Celebrating Project Results and Young People’s Achievements

On 17 September 2026, WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza hosted the final conference of the international Girls4Economy project. The event brought together representatives of partner organisations, teachers, students and participants of project activities from Poland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Romania.

The conference provided an opportunity to summarise the project’s results, exchange experiences and present the outcomes of the work carried out by young participants. The event was opened by the President of WSBU, Prof. Łukasz Sułkowski, while the main assumptions, implementation process and key results of Girls4Economy were presented by Prof. Jacek Bendkowski, Head of the project research team.

During the following sessions, representatives of Mykolas Romeris University, Responsible Society NGO and the Transylvanian Furniture Cluster presented activities implemented in their respective countries and shared their experiences from the pilot phase of the project. The conference also addressed the use of modern technologies in education, including the potential of 3D printing as a tool for developing young people’s skills. A particularly important part of the programme was the presentation of the participants’ work. As part of Girls4Economy, 15 youth projects were developed to strengthen digital, networking and entrepreneurial competences. Young participants worked on their own ideas, learned how to plan activities, cooperate in international teams and use technology in practice. The best initiatives were presented during the final conference, which concluded with a project summary and an awards ceremony. The conference demonstrated that Girls4Economy became not only a space for acquiring new competences, but also for building relationships between young people from different countries, discovering other cultures and developing confidence and communication skills. As project participants emphasised, taking part in Girls4Economy gave them an opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, gain new experiences and turn their own ideas into concrete activities.

Girls4Economy focuses on strengthening the networking competences of young girls from smaller towns and areas undergoing socio-economic transformation, preparing them to function effectively and become professionally active in the Economy 4.0 environment. The project is implemented from 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2026 within the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education programme. WSB University is the project leader, working together with Mykolas Romeris University from Lithuania, Odpovědná společnost, z.s. / Responsible Society NGO from the Czech Republic and Asociația Cluster Mobilier Transilvan from Romania.

The final conference marked an important stage in summarising nearly two years of joint work by the project partners and participants. It also demonstrated how international cooperation, education and practical activities can support young people in developing competences needed in today’s digital and professional environment.
