On 31 August 2026, representatives of the Girls4Economy project consortium met online to discuss preparations for the final stage of the project. The meeting lasted approximately one hour and focused primarily on organisational arrangements for the Girls4Economy Final Conference, scheduled for 17 September 2026 in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland.
A major part of the discussion concerned the programme of the final conference. The event will combine presentations summarising the project and its main implementation stages with presentations of the results of the national pilot activities carried out in Poland, Romania, Lithuania and the Czech Republic. The partners agreed that the programme should reflect the logical sequence of the project: methodology development, teacher training and national piloting. Student teams will present the projects selected at national level, while other projects developed during the pilots will be introduced briefly, for example through posters or introductory slides.
The partners also discussed practical arrangements connected with participation in the conference. These included official invitations required by some schools, the format and submission deadline for project posters, transport from the airport and possible private transfers. The organisers will provide updated information concerning these matters. Catering, including lunch for conference participants, was also confirmed. The conference is expected to include an awards ceremony, and the issue of certificates for students and teachers participating in national project activities was raised.
Attention was also given to the dissemination and scientific component of Girls4Economy. The project website contains educational and research materials, including the toolkit, training-related documents, evaluation materials and a research report describing the scientific objectives and research component of the project. Partners were encouraged to use these resources in further dissemination and publications.
Further tasks agreed during the meeting include completing and submitting national pilot reports, finalising the revised conference agenda, clarifying poster requirements and transport arrangements, and considering optional networking or educational activities for participants after the conference. The pilot reports will also provide material for further dissemination and potential scientific publications.
The consortium also agreed to hold a final project meeting after the conference in order to summarise completed activities. A provisional date of 12 October 2026 was proposed.
