On 28–29 March 2026, the project participants took part in a unique intergenerational judo event combining sports competition, integration activities, and inspirational training sessions. The event brought together young leaders involved in the “JUDO as a tool to shape youth pro-health and pro-social attitudes” project, creating an opportunity not only for sporting rivalry, but also for strengthening relationships and exchanging experiences between participants.
One of the highlights of the event was a special training session led by Tommy Macias – an internationally recognized judoka and multiple European medalist. Participants had the opportunity to train under the guidance of an elite athlete, gain valuable practical knowledge, and learn more about the role of discipline, perseverance, and healthy lifestyle habits in professional sport and everyday life.
The tournament also became an important moment of integration for the young project leaders, who could finally meet in person, build stronger connections, and compete against one another in a positive and motivating atmosphere. The sporting rivalry for medals was accompanied by the values that remain at the core of the project: mutual respect, fair play, social inclusion, and the promotion of physical activity among young people.
The event constituted another important step in the implementation of the project activities, combining education, sport, and international youth engagement through judo-based initiatives.
