Joanna Kurowska-Pysz posiada stopień doktora habilitowanego w dyscyplinie Nauki o zarządzaniu i jakości. Od 2013 r. jest związana z Akademią WSB w Dąbrowie Górniczej, gdzie pracuje na stanowisku profesora nadzwyczajnego. Pełni także funkcje m.in. kierownika Katedry Zarządzania, Dyrektora Centrum Transferu Technologii oraz Zastępcy Kierownika Szkoły Doktorskiej. 

Od wielu lat łączy aktywność akademicką z działalnością ekspercką, związaną z zarządzaniem projektami, m.in. aktywnie wspiera komercjalizację wiedzy i wdrażanie innowacji, w tym zielonych innowacji i projektów rewitalizacyjnych, służących szeroko pojętej transformacji społeczno-gospodarczej, w tym transformacji energetycznej.

Od 2018 r. jest zatrudniona na Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie, gdzie uczestniczy w projektach B+R dotyczących wykorzystania sztucznej inteligencji na rynku kapitałowym.  Zasiada m.in. w Radzie Nadzorczej spółki ENEA Nowa Energia Sp. z o.o.  oraz GPW Logistics SA.  

Od 2019 r. współpracuje także z Komisją Europejską (DG REGIO) w zakresie transformacji regionów przygranicznych.

Jest autorką blisko 200 publikacji naukowych i opracowań eksperckich, a także uczestniczką wielu projektów współfinansowanych m.in. z programów Horyzont Europa, Erasmus Plus, INTERREG czy POIR.

Nieustannie inwestuje w rozwój osobisty, czego dowodem są kursy i szkolenia ukończone w prestiżowych ośrodkach, takich jak Harvard Business School, Harvard’s BOK Center, GPM Global, London Business School czy American Management Association.

He possesses extensive corporate experience gained in international service companies. He held key managerial positions related to the development of customer relationship management systems, quality and process management, project management, and future technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI). He served for many years as an Executive-level manager at Orange S.A. He is also a graduate of MBA studies.

Joanna Kurowska-Pysz holds a postdoctoral degree in Business Administration. Since 2013, she has been affiliated with WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, where she serves as an associate professor. She also holds positions such as Head of the Department of Management, Director of the Technology Transfer Centre, and Deputy Head of the Doctoral School.

For many years, she has combined academic activity with expert project management work, actively supporting the commercialisation of knowledge and the implementation of innovations, including green innovations and revitalisation projects, and broadly supporting socio-economic transformation, including the energy transition.

Since 2018, she has been employed at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, where she participates in R&D projects on the use of artificial intelligence in the capital markets. She serves on the Supervisory Board of ENEA Nowa Energia Ltd. and GPW Logistics JSC., among others.

Since 2019, she has also been collaborating with the European Commission (DG REGIO) on the transformation of border regions.

She is the author of nearly 200 scientific publications and expert studies and has participated in numerous projects co-financed by programs such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus Plus, INTERREG, and POIR.

She continually invests in her personal development, as evidenced by courses and training completed at prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School, Harvard's BOK Centre, GPM Global, London Business School and the American Management Association.
