The Girls4Economy project is approaching one of its most important moments! On 17 September 2026, WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza will host the International Final Conference of the project “Shaping the network competences of young girls from minor towns and restructured areas as future business leaders operating in a 4.0 economy”. The conference will bring together project partners, students, teachers and invited guests from Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Romania. It will be a unique opportunity to look back at the activities carried out within Girls4Economy, share experiences from four participating countries and, most importantly, present the results achieved throughout the project. Girls4Economy was created in response to the challenges faced by young people entering an increasingly digital and network-based economy. The project has focused particularly on supporting young girls from smaller towns and regions undergoing economic restructuring by developing their networking, social and digital competences – skills that are becoming increasingly important for education, professional development and future leadership.

What can you expect?
During the Final Conference, participants will discover the Girls4Economy project and its key results, learn more about the pilot programme implemented by the international partnership and hear directly from project teams about their experiences and activities. A particularly important part of the event will be dedicated to young people themselves. Teams from Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Romania will present their best projects developed using the methodology and tools created within Girls4Economy. Their ideas demonstrate how the competences developed during the project can be transformed into creativity, cooperation and practical initiatives.

The event will conclude with a summary of the international cooperation and an Awards Ceremony celebrating the achievements of the participating young people.

The conference is not only the culmination of the Girls4Economy project - it is also a space for exchanging ideas, experiences and good practices and for discussing how education can better prepare young people for the opportunities and challenges of the Economy 4.0.
