Visit to the Museum in Katowice

On January 20, during the my second week in Poland, I met David, an Erasmus student from Spain. Thanks to the university and his invitation, I had the opportunity to visit the city of Katowice and learn more about its cultural environment. We visited the Silesian Museum, a place that impressed me both for its architecture and its exhibitions. There, I was able to learn more about modern and contemporary Polish art, as well as better understand certain historical and social aspects of the Silesian region.

The combination of underground spaces with glass structures above ground makes the experience even more unique. It was a very positive and enriching experience. Not only did I expand my cultural knowledge, but it was also meaningful to share this moment with someone who, like me, is living an international experience. Encounters like this make the integration process more significant.

After visiting the museum, we continued sightseeing around the city, ending with lunch together.
