Visit to the Silesian Museum in Katowice

On November 18th, during the second week of their stay, our volunteers went on a trip to Katowice together with our student Damian. The first stop of the day was the Silesian Museum, which immediately impressed them with its modern architecture and beautifully curated exhibitions. The volunteers explored the galleries with great interest, feeling that the museum helped them understand the history and culture of Silesia on a much deeper level.

After visiting the museum, they continued discovering the city. Katowice made a strong and very positive impression on them. The volunteers described it as energetic, modern, and welcoming. Tall glass buildings mixed with historic architecture created a unique atmosphere, and every street seemed to offer something new to explore. With each step, they found themselves enjoying the city more and more, appreciating its clean, vibrant, and friendly character.

At the end of the day, volunteer Mira from Romania shared her thoughts about the experience, saying:

“We loved how clean, energetic, and welcoming Katowice felt everywhere we went. By the end of the week, we realized how quickly the place had grown on us. And now we’re excited to see what else we’ll discover as our time here continues.”
