Presentation by RESCUER research team members at the Interdisciplinary Gerontological Discourse

The RESCUER project team is proud to announce that Professor Ryszard Szynowski and Dr. Pawel Buchwald were speakers at the event “The charms of autumn life, or how to age healthily and with taste - an interdisciplinary gerontological discourse”. The event took place on 20/01/2025 and brought together experts from various fields to debate the challenges of active and healthy aging.

During the speech, our experts presented the assumptions and goals of the RESCUER project, focusing on innovative technologies to support the safety of seniors in mountainous areas. Particular attention was paid to the VR course under development, which, thanks to realistic scenarios, will enable mountain rescue brigades to more effectively support seniors and people with disabilities in difficult terrain.

The RESCUER project, implemented under the Erasmus+ program, aims to increase safety in border areas through the use of virtual reality technology in the training of rescuers. Through innovative solutions, the project will better understand the challenges faced by the elderly and prepare rescuers to quickly and effectively assist in emergency situations.

We would like to thank the organizers of the event for the invitation and all the participants for the interesting discussion. Together we can build a safer future for seniors, especially in challenging mountain conditions.
