This meeting will provide an overview of the European Solidarity Corps, a European Union programme that offers young people the opportunity to participate in volunteering and solidarity activities across Europe. The programme supports participants by covering aspects such as travel, accommodation, insurance, and guidance.
We will explain how we applied to the programme, the main steps involved in the selection process, and the requirements needed to participate. In addition, we will describe our journey from the initial application to arriving in Poland, including the preparation phase and the support received during the process.
My name is Gisselle, I am originally from Colombia and currently living in Madrid, Spain. This is my first volunteering experience, and participating in the European Solidarity Corps has been an important opportunity for my personal and professional development. I enjoy learning from new environments and getting to know different cultures, which motivates me to take part in this experience.
My name is Mostafa, I am from Egypt and currently studying in Turkey. This is my first volunteering project in Poland, and I have previously completed a long-term volunteering experience in Romania, where I gained valuable international and intercultural experience.
