Research interests focus on the processes of learning in adulthood, with particular emphasis on the period of old age. A key issue is the preparation for the realization of developmental tasks and the performance of roles characteristic of adulthood. The focus is also on existential problems and challenges that arise from the mature and conscious experience of adulthood. In the methodological area, the interests focus on qualitative research, with particular emphasis on the analysis of epistolary messages.

Psychologist, PhD in health sciences, assistant professor of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Katowice of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice. Director of the Center for Psychosomatics and Health Prevention at the WSB Academy. Combines scientific work with clinical practice.

Research interests focus on the study of cultural minorities, acculturation of migrants, multicultural education, management of the social integration process. He makes discoveries combining the perspectives of psychology, anthropology and economics. His work on the socio-economic integration of Roma, based on his unique field research over many years in the Roma community, is particularly recognized in Poland and abroad.

The main area of research interest is media and media communication in the context of education and social policy, with a particular focus on the interface points between aid activities and social communication. The research focuses on such issues as the social welfare system, the functioning of aid institutions, media narratives on aid and helping, public relations of social policy institutions, and communication related to aid and aid activities.
