Meeting with the Prior, Father Samuel Pacholski, OSPPE, and the Custos, Father Waldemar Pastusiak, OSPPE

On 22 March 2022, a meeting was held at the Pauline Monastery in Jasna Góra with the Prior Father Samuel Pacholski OSPPE and the Custodian Father Waldemar Pastusiak OSPPE.

The research team of AWSB under the direction of Adrian Siadkowski PhD, prof. AWSB, in the team composed of Łukasz Szymankiewicz PhD, Karol Kujawa PhD, Czesław Konieczny MA, presented the conclusions from the study visits to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Częstochowa at Jasna Góra. The analytical work and study visits lasted from 17.02 to 22.03.2022 within the ProSPeReS (Protection System for Large Gatherings of People in Religious Sites) project and concerned vulnerability assessment and analysis of the needs for protection of religious sites. The Jasna Góra Sanctuary, as the largest pilgrimage site in Poland with its specificity and mass character, was selected for analysis along with other religious sites in Europe, where study visits were conducted by individual teams of the research consortium from Finland, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Greece within the research task "Investigation of additional case studies in Europe - identification of common and distinctive challenges, risks, gaps, and good practices".

Very good cooperation resulted in the preparation of recommendations, which were accepted by Father Prior, and the announcement of the implementation of further research tasks has been made.
