Umut Uysal

Umut Uysal

My name is Umut Uysal, and I come from Istanbul, Turkey. I am currently studying International Relations at Istanbul Medeniyet University. I consider myself an open-minded, social, and curious person, always eager to explore new experiences and connect with people from different cultures. I truly enjoy traveling, discovering new places, and learning beyond the classroom. These qualities have shaped me as someone who values cultural diversity and enjoys building friendships across borders. Taking part in this project has been an incredible opportunity for me both personally and academically. It allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone, develop new skills, and expand my worldview. During my stay in Kraków, Poland, I had the chance to explore a city that is not only historically rich but also full of vibrant life. For someone like me, who loves traveling and cultural exploration, Kraków offered the perfect combination of history, culture, and modern lifestyle. Walking through Kazimierz, I enjoyed tasting the famous local street food zapiekanka and spending time in lively spots that reflect the city’s unique atmosphere. What impressed me the most, however, was Kraków’s natural beauty. The balance between nature and history creates a very special environment that makes the city truly memorable. At the same time, I was deeply impressed by the WSB Academy main campus, which reflects a modern and well-developed academic environment. The fact that WSB Academia organized this project highlights the university’s strong commitment to international collaboration and to supporting the personal and professional growth of students. Another important aspect for me was that Poland is budget-friendly compared to many other European countries. More importantly, it is a place where international students can feel safe, comfortable, and welcome. Overall, this project has given me the chance not only to learn academically but also to grow personally. It confirmed my passion for international experiences and strengthened my belief that cultural exchange is one of the best ways to connect people and build mutual understanding.

Gökay Paşa

Gökay Paşa

My name is Gökay Paşa and I come from Istanbul, Turkey. I am a Computer Engineering student. This was the first time I joined such a volunteer project, and I do not have much experience abroad. However, when I arrived in Poland, I immediately felt very comfortable. My teammates and colleagues were extremely supportive and helped me in every situation, which made the project even more enjoyable.

During the program, I had the chance to visit many wonderful places. In Kraków, I explored the Old Town and Wawel Castle. I also visited Zalew Zakrzówek and Kościuszko Mound, where the views were absolutely amazing and unforgettable. In addition, I traveled to Dąbrowa Górnicza, where the main campus of WSB University is located. On the way, I spent some time in Katowice, where I had a great experience discovering the city and enjoying its lively atmosphere.

This project was both valuable and unforgettable for me. I believe that joining WSB University will give me the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and exploring new experiences in Poland.
