Corvinus University of BudapestThey invite to the Online Scientific Webinar: „Presentation and discussion of practical implementation of research results: strategic perspective”
We are pleased to invite you to an international Final Scientific Online Webinar, organized by WSB University on Wednesday 22nd January 2025 at 10:00 a.m. CET. The scientific seminar will present the summarized research result of climate change, future scenario in climate change and each indicator which may has impact on the environment and climate change in each partner country. Each partner-country presents its proposals based on the results of research on how to stop climate change in each country.
We look forward to your participation in this important webinar, which aims to empower communities across Europe to take meaningful action towards reducing household waste and mitigating climate change.
We are convinced that the topics of the debate and the project will meet with your interest, and that your participation in this undertaking will be useful to you.

wasteWe are pleased to invite you to an international Online Awareness-Raising Seminar for Citizens on the Reduction of Household Waste, organized by PanEuropean University on Friday 18th October 2024 at 10:00 a.m. CET. This seminar is designed to help citizens and local leaders learn effective methods to reduce household waste and apply a comprehensive approach to assess the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The seminar will be held online, with sessions organized nationally in participants' native languages. Each country will have its own dedicated online room, ensuring tailored discussions and activities. This structure will foster the development of local "Ambassadors of Waste Reduction" who will be instrumental in promoting sustainable waste practices in their communities.
We look forward to your participation in this important seminar, which aims to empower communities across Europe to take meaningful action towards reducing household waste and mitigating climate change.

Pan-European University PragueThey invite to the Online Scientific Seminar:
„Methodology of integral assessment of the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions”
The seminar will present to local authorities and NGOs a methodology for the integral assessment of the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions based on the calculation of composite indices of local potentials, using the methodology of factor and cluster analyses, quaternion algebra, i.e.: the potential of economic, environmental and infrastructural measures for a directional impact on the key factors of emissions production. Seminar will be organized nationally in national languages.
The Seminar need involvement of scientists that know national perspective and will present these information to local authorities and NGOs, as they will be main triggers to promote methodology and actions to reduce climate changes by policy actions and by bottom-up activities.
The issues will be discussed by theoreticians and practitioners from Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The debate will be held in English. I am also enclosing the full agenda of the meeting.
I am convinced that the topics of the debate and the project will meet with your interest, and that your participation in this undertaking will be useful to you.

„Methodology of integral assessment of the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions”
The scientific seminar 25th April 2024 will present and consult with students the creation of a methodology for the integral assessment of the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions based on the calculation of composite indices of local potentials, using the methodology of factor and cluster analyses, quaternion algebra, i.e.: the potential of economic, environmental and infrastructural measures for a directional impact on the key factors of emissions production.

They invite to the Online Round Table:
„Forecasting factors influence on climatic changes as a part of Sustainable Development Goals 2030” on 8th of December 2023.The aim of the round table is to present research on the existing environmental situation and climate change in recent years (2018-2023). The data that each partner will obtain from the relevant ministry or authority dealing with the area will be presented. Areas that require immediate action in the field of climate change (e.g. waste management, air, water, soil protection) will also be presented. The meeting will be crucial because specific factors influence on climatic changes in each participating country will be identified and described. Below you will find the agenda for the meeting:

The WSB University has launched the new project supported by the International Visegrad Fund: 'Forecasting factors influencing climatic changes as a part of Sustainable Development Goals 2030'.
Together with partners from Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as researchers from Hungary, researchers from the WSB University will develop a methodology for an integrated assessment of the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the Visegrad Group countries and Ukraine. In particular, the topic of household waste reduction will be included in the project.
The first activity that took place as part of the project was a Round Table organised in a remote format on 8 December 2023, during which research on the existing environmental situation and climate change in recent years (2018-2023) was presented. Data obtained from the relevant national ministries were presented, with a special focus on areas that require immediate action on climate change (e.g. waste management, air, water, soil protection), thereby identifying the specific drivers of climate change in each of the participating countries.
The project will also include a number of other international online activities, workshops for local people, seminars for students or scientific articles.
The project was supported by the International Visegrad Fund.
