Meeting with partners - June

The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming online student presentations, the final project conference in Poland, project dissemination materials, and future project activities. Jacek Bendkowski outlined the agenda, which included reviewing arrangements for the online presentations, discussing the final conference in Dąbrowa Górnicza, certificates and testimonials, scheduling the next meeting, and considering a research survey related to the project.

Matěj Mareš reported that all teachers had received the necessary information and links for the online student presentations. A total of 16 projects from the participating countries were scheduled to be presented, and strict time limits of four to five minutes per presentation were recommended to keep the event within two hours. Participants discussed potential technical issues, the importance of recording the event, and the need to take screenshots as additional documentation.

The group then reviewed plans for the final conference in Poland. Participants generally approved the draft conference programme, while acknowledging that a detailed schedule would be prepared once venue arrangements were confirmed. They discussed possible cultural and social activities after the conference, including a visit to the historic Guido Coal Mine and a group dinner. Participants agreed that the final number of students and teachers attending the conference should be determined by the end of June to facilitate logistical planning.

The discussion also covered testimonials and certificates for participating schools. Partners confirmed that obtaining testimonials should not present any major difficulties, although some schools had not yet been formally approached. It was noted that details concerning the preparation and distribution of certificates would be clarified later by the project coordinator responsible for these activities.

Another important topic concerned a planned research survey for students and teachers. Jacek explained that the survey would collect information about participants’ experiences, perceived competency development, and the usefulness of project activities. The results could be used for academic publications. Matěj expressed interest in participating as a co-author in future publications and emphasized the value of the research outputs for his doctoral studies and his organisation.

Finally, the partners agreed that there was no need to meet during the summer months. The next project meeting was scheduled for 31 August, giving the consortium sufficient time to prepare for the final conference on 17 September. The meeting concluded with participants wishing each other success with the student presentations and expressing optimism about the final stages of the project.
