Research and project reports
The JUDO project explores how judo clubs can support healthy lifestyles, social inclusion and positive peer relationships among young people. Research and exchanges between partner organisations inform the development of practical guidance, educational resources and activities for coaches and youth educators.
From research to practical resources
Surveys and interviews with judo coaches and educators examined their knowledge of healthy lifestyle principles and how they incorporate health education into everyday training. The findings informed discussions on educational needs, questionnaire design and the preparation of activities addressing nutrition, physical activity, stress management and peer-led health promotion.
International workshop in Granada
The workshop held in Granada, Spain, on 1–3 July 2025 brought together representatives of all partner organisations to review research findings and develop the next stage of project activities.
WSB University presented the collected research data and led discussions on their interpretation. Partners agreed on improvements to the questionnaires and advanced preparations for the practical guide, instructional videos and pilot activities in judo clubs.
The report below documents the workshop programme, key conclusions and agreed next steps.
