Dr. Krzysztof Czupryna, PhD, PT
Dr. Krzysztof Czupryna graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice in 1993 with a master’s degree in physical rehabilitation. In 2001, he earned a PhD in physical culture sciences from the same institution. In 2010, he obtained the title of Specialist in Physiotherapy.
Academic and Professional Career:
Dr. Czupryna began his academic career as a lecturer and researcher at the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice, where he worked from 1993 to 2002. He then served as an assistant professor at the Silesian Medical University in Katowice from 2002 to 2011. From 2006 to 2017, he held the position of assistant professor at the Higher School of Administration in Bielsko-Biała. Since 2017, he has been affiliated with the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
Scientific Contributions:
Dr. Czupryna has authored and co-authored numerous scholarly works, including:
8 textbooks for students and physiotherapists,
Over 60 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals,
1 scientific monograph,
19 chapters in scientific monographs.
He is also one of the authors of the collective work “A Small Dictionary of Physiotherapy: Polish-English and English-Polish Nomenclature with Definitions” and has actively participated in over 30 national and international scientific conferences.

Dr. Czupryna’s research focuses on:
Pediatric neurorehabilitation,
Postural reeducation in children and youth,
Analysis of pathological gait patterns,
Quality of life for individuals with disabilities and their families,
Preventive health aspects of physical activity,
The application of new technologies in physiotherapy.
He has contributed to numerous research projects, including those on movement patterns in children with neurological disorders, quality of life for families of children with cerebral palsy, and supporting the rehabilitation process using modern technologies.

Sports Activities:
Dr. Czupryna has been practicing judo since the age of 14 and represents the Kejza Team Rybnik club. He holds a 5th DAN degree and is an active judo instructor. As a competitor, he represents Poland in the veterans’ category (+30 years), achieving numerous titles, including:
Vice-World Veteran Champion (Cancun, 2018),
Two-time European Veteran Champion (Zagreb, 2017; Heraklion, 2022),
Multiple Polish Veteran Champion and medalist in international judo tournaments.
