Open Call No. 1: Future Health Professionals – Medicine, AI and Society

The Q-Helix Alliance invites students from partner universities to apply for the International Thematic School:

Future Health Professionals: Medicine, AI and Society

24-28 August 2026
Bucharest and Olimp-Constanța, Romania
Host Institution: Universitatea Titu Maiorescu (UTM), Romania

The School is organised within the strategic thematic area of Healthcare Innovation and will explore the future of healthcare in the context of rapid technological and societal change.

Participants will examine contemporary challenges related to:

• artificial intelligence in healthcare;
• ethical and legal aspects of AI;
• neuro-law;
• interdisciplinary healthcare cooperation;
• communication and teamwork in healthcare environments;
• future competences of health professionals;
• responsible and safe implementation of emerging technologies in medicine.

The programme combines lectures, workshops, simulations, case studies, interdisciplinary teamwork and networking activities, providing students with an international and practice-oriented learning experience.

The School is open to students from all Q-Helix member universities. Particular interest is expected from students representing medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, public health, health sciences, psychology, law, social sciences, artificial intelligence, computer science and related disciplines.

Financial Support

Participants from Q-Helix member universities other than the Host Institution may receive:

• Travel Grant;
• Accommodation and Subsistence Grant.

Recruitment

Applications may be submitted between 12 June and 26 June 2026.

Selected participants will receive a Certificate of Competences issued by the Host Institution.
