Academic degrees and titles held:
Habilitation: 2013, Faculty of Command and Naval Operations, Naval Academy subject: “Military Administration in the National Security System,” title obtained; Doctor of Social Sciences in the field of security science.
Ph.D.: 2001, Strategic-Defense Department, National Defense Academy subject: “Kaliningrad region in the military system of Russia” title obtained; Doctor of Military Science.
Scientific achievements:
The main direction of the scientific and research activity of Dr. Ryszard Szynowski is security sciences. In his works he undertakes considerations in three research areas: 1) security systems in Poland's neighboring countries (the place of public administration), 2) cross-border security Poland - Slovakia - Czech Republic (interaction of mountain rescue and other services), 3) social security (seniors, youth and children).
In the area of defense administration, he takes up the subject of military preparations in the state including administration, as well as the problems of military administration including the interaction of field military and civilian administrations in the field of national security. Also, much of his research work has been devoted to human resource management in the Polish Armed Forces and in the guards, services and inspections. Of international issues, Professor Ryszard Szynowski has devoted special attention to the subject of Eastern Europe.
