Habilitation: 2013, Faculty of Command and Naval Operations, Naval Academy subject: “Military Administration in the National Security System,” title obtained; Doctor of Social Sciences in the field of security science.

Ph.D.: 2001, Strategic-Defense Department, National Defense Academy subject: “Kaliningrad region in the military system of Russia” title obtained; Doctor of Military Science.

Scientific achievements:

The main direction of the scientific and research activity of Dr. Ryszard Szynowski is security sciences. In his works he undertakes considerations in three research areas: 1) security systems in Poland's neighboring countries (the place of public administration), 2) cross-border security Poland - Slovakia - Czech Republic (interaction of mountain rescue and other services), 3) social security (seniors, youth and children).

In the area of defense administration, he takes up the subject of military preparations in the state including administration, as well as the problems of military administration including the interaction of field military and civilian administrations in the field of national security. Also, much of his research work has been devoted to human resource management in the Polish Armed Forces and in the guards, services and inspections. Of international issues, Professor Ryszard Szynowski has devoted special attention to the subject of Eastern Europe.

GRADUATE: Academy of Physical Education in Katowice (1993);  obtained a master's degree in physical rehabilitation (PT);

POSTGRADUADE: Academy of Physical Education in Katowice (1995/1996); Didactics of the higher education;

PhD: Academy Of Physical Education in Katowice (2001); academic degree obtained: doctor of physical culture sciences;  

HABILITATION: Medical University of Warsaw, Faculty of Health Sciences (2014) - academic degree obtained: habilitated doctor of health sciences;

ACADEMIC CAREER: lecturer and researcher at the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice (1993-2001), Silesian Medical University in Katowice (2001-2011), Higher School of Administration in Bielsko-Biała (2005-2017), WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza (2014 - till now).

• co-authorship of 8 textbooks for physiotherapy students and physiotherapists;
• co-authorship of over 60 original papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals;
• authorship of 1 scientific monograph;
• authorship of 2 chapters and co-authorship of 17 chapters in monographic works;
• scientific editor of 1 monograph on interdisciplinary topics;
• one of the authors of the collective work entitled "A small dictionary of physiotherapy. Polish-English and English-Polish nomenclature with definition";
• active participant in over 40 national and international scientific conferences;
• co-author and co-leader Erasmus+ project “Judo as a trigger to shape youth pro-health and pro-social attitude” (call 2023)

A specialist in computer science and ICT systems security engineering, he is a research and teaching staff member at the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza and deputy head of the Department of Transport and Information Technology. He is a lecturer teaching at WSB Academy and Silesian University of Technology, where he shares his knowledge of modern information technologies. His research interests include ICT systems security engineering, distributed data processing and acquisition systems, computer graphics, as well as the application of mobile devices and computer management systems. He works actively with IT companies in the areas of design, implementation and deployment of modern software for business, industry and education.

A specialist in Linux/Open Source and in computer science and ICT systems security engineering, he is a teaching fellow at WSB Academy in Dabrowa Gornicza. His research interests include ICT systems security engineering, computer graphics, AI support in the processes of sound, music, graphics and video creation. He actively cooperates with IT companies in the areas of design, implementation and deployment of modern software for industry and education.
