Ladies and gentlemen,

Support received within the family is indispensable in overcoming contemporary threats, crises, and problems faced by individuals. The planned conference will focus on this support and is aimed at representatives from academic and educational environments, as well as practitioners in educational, social, and welfare fields whose activities center around the family as a support environment. The conference is addressed to academics, educators, teachers, therapists, psychologists, social workers, foster family members, and local government employees. We also invite police officers, probation officers, and anyone interested in the subject matter.

We believe that the conference will facilitate the exchange of current knowledge in family studies, education sciences, sociology, psychology, law, and medicine, with an emphasis on the support provided by families in the face of contemporary threats. We plan to reflect on the theoretical and practical aspects of the following issues:

  • The family facing contemporary individual threats
  • The family as a support institution
  • Individuals with special needs in the family
  • The family facing children's mental disorders
  • The family and social readaptation problems
  • Family forms of foster care

Abstracts of presentations (maximum 200 words), including keywords, affiliation, and a brief biography of the author, should be submitted via the registration form by September 25, 2024. The working languages of the conference are English, Polish, Czech, and Slovak.
