Themes

The topics of the conference will relate to the relationship between the PLACE and the activities, interventions and interpretations that are "happening" in the PLACE.

Changes that take place in contemporary social and material reality generate new problems that are challenges for pedagogical reflection and educational activities. Their implementation requires new PLACES or modification of existing PLACES in order to design optimal PLACES.

The organizers welcome topics that address the following themes (including transversal approaches), included under the conference’s general theme

  1. PLACE of educational activities - interdisciplinary perspective.
  2. HUMAN - PLACE correlation: choice of place; time to be in place; space availability; place and becoming yourself, place and behavior, place and emotions; perception of place; quality of life in place; psychological stress in the place; a place of rest, entertainment, meetings with culture.
  3. Educational activities in selected PLACES: in virtual space, in threatening, dangerous places, in places of recreation, entertainment, meetings with culture and in NON-PLACES.
  4. PLACEMENT OF PLACE: places for general, special and inclusive education, places for dependent people, seniors, the sick, the homeless, convicts, immigrants.
  5. Physical and material aspects of the PLACE in the context of educational activities undertaken in it: dimensions, lighting, colors, equipment, physical stressors, location, connections with other PLACES.
  6. PLACES of remembrance as historical reference points for shaping collective memory and identity.
  7. A PLACE which is not there, for people who are and PLACES need.

Highlighting thematic areas is a procedure that only organizes the diversity of content that can be associated with the PLACE of educational activities. This is a problem located between areas, interpenetrating or complementary to each other. We encourage you to find your own place in the issues of PLACE.

Accepted papers will be allocated on parallel sessions with 15 minutes for the presentation of each paper.

Please report participation in the conference electronically, using the form available in the Application tab on the conference website, by October 7, 2020.
